BLS Instructor Information 

You must hold a CURRENT AHA BLS Provider Card.

Please contact us at justin@yannotticonsulting.com to be sent the required form.

There are NO REFUNDS of instructor courses. 

The BLS Instructor course allows you to become an American Heart Association BLS Instructor upon meeting all requirements.

You will need to purchase all necessary materials to become an instructor, and that includes the BLS Provider Manual, the BLS Instructor Manual, the BLS Provider Course DVD, and the BLS Instructor Essentials module that needs to be completed (the essentials course is included in the cost of the course).

Prerequisites for becoming a BLS Instructor:

  1. Must obtain preapproval before registering for the course. Contact us at justin@yannotticonsulting.com to be sent the required form to complete before registering.
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age, you need not be a healthcare provider.
  3. Must be proficient in the skills of CPR and hold a current BLS Provider card.
  4. Be comfortable in working with people with all levels of CPR skills, from the novice to the experienced across various ages.
  5. Be able to follow instructions in both verbal and standard, written English.
  6. Understand that there is a financial commitment involved in the purchase of required equipment, class materials, and provider cards to issue to students.
  7. Have a GREAT attitude!

There is an online Instructors essentials course you will recieve a online keycode to that must be completed. 

You must have a current AHA ACLS Provider Card to be eligable for this course. 

There are NO REFUNDS of instructor courses. 

The ACLS Instructor course allows you to become an American Heart Association ACLS Instructor upon meeting all requirements.

You will need all the materials to become an ACLS instructor, and that includes the ACLS Provider Manual, the ACLS Instructor Manual, the ACLS Provider Course DVD, and the ACLS Instructor Essentials module (Instructor essentials is included in the cost of the instructor course) that needs to be completed. 

You may opt to renew your ACLS Provider card (must be current) when you take your ACLS Instructor course as well (see option below). 

Prerequisites for becoming an ACLS Instructor:

  1. Must obtain preapproval before registering for the course. Contact us at justin@yannotticonsulting.com to be sent the required form to complete before registering.
  2. Must currently hold a current American Heart Association BLS Instructor card.
  3. Must hold a current healthcare credential / license. This includes MD, DO, RN, RT./RRT, DMD (oral surgeon), or EMT-P (paramedic level). 
  4. Must be proficient in the skills of ACLS and hold a current ACLS Provider card.
  5. Be comfortable in working with people with all levels of ACLS skills, from the novice to the experienced.
  6. Be able to follow instructions in both verbal and standard, written English.
  7. Understand that there is a financial commitment involved in the purchase of required equipment, class materials, and provider cards to issue to students.
  8. Have a FANTASTIC attitude! You must be willing to answer questions from a variety of students who may not hold the credentials that you have attained, or are beyond the level of your academic training and/or experience. 

There are NO REFUNDS of instructor courses. 

You must have a current AHA PALS Provider Card to be eligable for this course. 

The PALS Instructor course allows you to become an American Heart Association PALS Instructor upon meeting all requirements.

You will need to purchase all necessarry materials to become an PALS instructor, and that includes the PALS Provider Manual, the PALS Instructor Manual, the PALS Provider Course DVD, and the PALS Instructor Essentials module that needs to be completed (PALS Instructor essentials is included in the cost of this course). 

WE CANNOT ship to PO Boxes. You must supply a physical address when registering. The course and materials are NOT REFUNDABLE, so keep that in mind before registering. All materials will be shipped via UPS to you, except the mask, pocketmask, or PALS Instructor pin if selected as options.

This course is Non-refundable. 

Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens Online is a comprehensive eLearning program that teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials.

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of taking the Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens course
  • Define bloodborne pathogens
  • Describe the four main steps for staying safe when facing an occupational exposure
  • Discuss how universal precautions, personal protective equipment, and handwashing can protect them from infection
  • Recognize warning signs and labels for biohazards
  • Recall how to safely remove gloves
  • Discuss how to dispose of sharps and other blood-containing items
  • Identify the types of spills and methods to clean them
  • Discuss their exposure control plan

Specifications:

  • Students have the convenience of completing the course at their own pace at work, home, or wherever Internet access is available.
  • Can be used for initial or renewal training
  • Certificate of completion available to print when the online portion has been completedsuccessfully
  • Students have access to all information in the online portion for 24 months after activation of their key to help reinforce what they have learned

Audience:  The course is designed for participants who would like to gain the basic skills needed that can help to treat basic injuries and/or prevent further injury, and is designed for those lay-rescuer participants who would like to gain the basic skills needed to perform basic CPR on adults, children, and infants, including the use of an AED.  The course is designed for participants who would like to gain the basic skills needed that might save a life in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.

This course is open to all participants, and does not require any prior medical knowledge or healthcare background.  Our course covers treatment of children and infants as well, making this the ideal course for virtually anyone who may deal with others in a situation at home, work, or while traveling where an injury has occurred.

What is covered:  The Heartsaver® program includes the fundamental concepts of rendering basic first aid as needed for selected medical emergencies (breathing, choking, allergic reactions, stroke, seizure, etc.), injuries (wounds, burns, broken bones, etc.), and environmental emergencies (animal / insect bites, heat / cold, poison, etc.), and includes the fundamental concepts of providing high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using an automated external defibrillator (AED).     

Completion card:  First Aid CPR AED eCard is issued immediately at the end of the in-person skills session; eCard is valid for two years.

Please note that all blended-learning courses involve single-use AHA keycodes, so they are non-refundable once purchased - all sales are final.

By building on your Basic Life Support (BLS) knowledge, our scientifically equivalent and educationally superior training emphasizes providing high-quality patient care by integrating rhythm interpretation, electrical interventions, and pharmacologic knowledge with critical thinking, problem-solving, and in-person psychomotor skills practice to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Throughout the Red Cross ALS course, you'll learn advanced life support assessment, as well as how to best manage respiratory emergencies, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) protocols for acute arrhythmias, cardiac arrest (including post-cardiac arrest care), acute coronary syndromes and acute stroke within or outside of a medical facility setting.

Blended Learning and Streamlined Options for Experienced Providers

Advanced Life Support (sometimes referred as advanced cardiac life support, or acls) classes are available via our innovative Blended Learning program, which combines online training coursework with an in-person skills session – so you can take them when and where you like – and on the device that suits you best. Throughout the course, our interactive scenarios will help you understand the science behind ALS and the finer points of providing care, and improve your clinical decision-making skills. With the online class complete, and after passing your final written exam, you'll attend an in-person skills session – where you'll meet with a certified ALS/ACLS Red Cross instructor and demonstrate your ALS skills. After passing both sections of the course, you'll receive a two-year ALS certificate.
